MY STORY

About Me

 

Hi, I'm Monika - a professional dog trainer with over 20 years of experience, and the founder of Logical K9. I reside in the Phoenix area, where I work hands-on with dogs and their people to build clarity, communication, and confidence through balanced, thoughtful training. 

Logical K9 is the result of a lifelong passion for dogs, behavior, and learning - and a belief that effective training starts with understanding both ends of the leash. 

Outside of training, I'm a parent raising a sassy, wonderful little human, I enjoy mountain biking, and I value movement and mindfulness through yoga. My life is busy, full, and often covered in dog hair - just the way I like it. ​

I work hard to bring both structure and heart to what I do, and I love helping people feel empowered, capable, and connected with their dogs.

 

My Experience

Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to the professional training and handling of dogs, and it has been an incredibly rewarding journey. My Approach 

Effective training starts with understanding. I take the time to break down behaviors into manageable steps, teaching both dogs and their handlers how to succeed together. I rely on clear communication, observation, and consistency - using balanced training methods that prioritize learning over punishment. Management strategies are also part of my toolkit to help guide dogs toward better choices while new behaviors take shape. 

I pay close attention to body language and emotional state - because dogs learn best when they feel safe, understood, and confident.

A Community Approach

I I regularly collaborate with other local trainers, schools, and facilities to give the dogs I work with a wide range of training experiences and socialization opportunities. I also continue to learn, grow, and evolve my methods to stay current and deliver the highest standard of care and instruction to every client.
